![]() I didn't have any friends at Purdue with Macs that any issues that couldn't be fixed with a simple google search and troubleshooting, and no one experienced fatal crashes of their Macs. 4 year in, and I've had 1 hardware issue (which after 4 years was still covered as a known issue with free repair by Apple), and I'll likely be using this computer for another 4+ (granted I did get a higher spec build when I initially bought it). Never had an issue with getting software that I needed for Mac, and anything that I couldn't get for free use was pretty much available via iTap software remote (which does all of the heavy computing on iTap's resources, it's essentially like a remote desktop). I loved it, and I probably won't be switching back anytime soon. I bought a new MacBook Pro in 2011, having never used a Mac before, only had ever used Windows. Worked 2 years in IT while at Purdue (not iTap, departmental IT for one of the colleges). ![]() PC debate (trust me, none of us want that here). I'm going to try to address a few things before this blows up into a mac vs.
